There is too much of this stuff going on. That tells me that we need stiffer penalties for crimes against children. When is our country going to take this seriously and realize the damage that is caused by these people? Innocent children and families are ruined for life everyday because of these people. They should be hung for their crimes!

MARTY WAS SIMPLY A MAN THAT MADE A BAD CHOICE FOR THE RIGHT REASONS....WHEN A PERSON IS IS PUT UNDER SO MUCH STRESS AND PRESSURE AS HE WAS YOU TEND TO MAKE THE WRONG DECISIONS...HE WAS SIMPLY TRYING TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE AND PAY THE BILLS LIKE SO MANY OF THE REST OF US ARE... HE DIDNT COMMIT A VIOLENT CRIME AGAINST ANYONE SO TO PUT HIM IN PRISON OR EVEN CONSIDER IT I THINK IS A CRIME IN ITSELF...WHAT HE DID WAS WRONG SO YA MAKE HIM PAY THE MONEY BACK....AND HE IS NOT ENTITLED TO CLAIM WORKMERS' COMP AGAIN ....TRY PUTTING THE REAL CRIMINALS AWAY....

I know Marty and he has had some real bad things happen to him over the last couple years. This is an unfortunate thing as well.I hope that he is given the chance to make it right.I don't think prison would do anything but create a worthless member of society once he got out.He has young kids who need him in there lives. He apparently did a bad thing by taking money when he was perfectly able to work.Make him pay it back.Don't send him to prison.

The Waste Water Industry is full of corruption from top to bottom. I can’t figure why is there virtually no media attention about this phenomenon? http://www.septicscam.com/

I do not think being a long term military man is any background what so ever for being on the Armed Forces Services, Home Land Security committees. Being in the service does not "incubate" decision making processes, all that means is you can follow orders. As for being on these committees, I do not think much of a committee that puts a neophyte congressman with a few days in office on it,there should be some kind of seniority and experience to make it meaningful. That is like putting a piper club pilot in the pilots seat of an Air Bus-A380, the worlds largest passenger plane. I can see by the press releases, they are fattening up his "profile" for when he runs for election again, thats all the staff is doing. I like to look at the bottom line, when northern new York sees some progress with the unemployment situation, and clean air by getting some "wind turbines" bringing some revenue in, lets get "crackin" and show me something.

i understand Owens was sworn in, but NOT certified as the representative, and that Hoffman is now un-conceded in the 23rd district, with many absentee 10,000, not counted yet.

Owens is the right man for the job seeing as he was a long term military man himself and knows our service men and womens needs
