It’s important to stretch and work out kinks in your muscles before your workout. One great way of doing this is by using a foam roller.

Foam rollers offer many of the same benefits as a sports massage.

By using your own body weight and a cylindrical foam roller you can perform a self-massage or myofascial release, break up trigger points.

This week on FitnessWatch Ashlea Youngs, Personal Trainer at Page Fitness will be demonstrating the benefits of using a foam roller.
