Fort Drum, NY - Members of the 1st and 2nd Brigade Combat Teams conducted a joint deployment ceremony with the casing the brigades' flags Friday, January 11 at 10 a.m. at the Magrath Sports Complex in preparation for deployment to Afghanistan.
Family and loved ones gathered at the gym to say their goodbyes. Between 15 hundred and two thousand Soldiers from each brigade deployed for nine months as Security Force Assistance Brigades.
