A Copenhagen Central School first grade student, and local Girl Scout with the Daisy Troop, has taken collecting orders for Girl Scout cookies to the next level.
Annabelle Sweet, a military daughter, decided that while she was taking cookie orders for her troop she would also ask that people make donations to the USO by means of cookies.
Friday morning, Sweet donated 60 boxes of cookies she raised to the USO. Sweet said that she wanted to give cookies to the Soldiers because, “they are far from home and from their mommies who bake cookies for them.”
