Fort Drum— Routinely, the 10th Mountain Division holds team building events, which allow for soldiers to strengthen their skills and boost morale.
The 10th Mountain Division soldiers will be competing in the Mountain Winter Challenge on post, February 21st. The series of winter challenges will provide an opportunity for soldiers to honor those who previously made history.
Exercise, discipline, and having a competitive edge doesn’t stop because of cold weather or snow. An estimated, 60 four-man teams will compete in a 10K course consisting of snowshoe, cross-country ski, sled pull and marksmanship events.
Soldiers will honor division's past during Mountain Winter Challenge, an Army.mil article provided this statement from Lt. Col. Paul Dismer, deputy commander of 10th Sustainment Brigade:
“The 10th Sustainment Brigade team successfully tackled these events in 2011, and we challenge the rest of the brigades in the 10th Mountain Division to attempt to match the never-ending drive for excellence the Muleskinners have always displayed."
