Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The wife of former Syracuse University men’s basketball assistant coach Bernie Fine plans to speak publicly on Wednesday morning.
According to Laurie Fine’s attorney Lawrence Fisher, she will discuss accusations made by Bobby Davis, among others, and also make a “major announcement” at 11 a.m. at Belhurst Castle in Geneva.
Davis and his step-brother Mike Lang accused Bernie Fine of sexually abusing them when they were ball boys for the SU men’s basketball team.
Last week, a judge dismissed a defamation case Lang and Davis launched against SU men’s coach Jim Boeheim.
Fisher issued this release on Monday:
On behalf of Laurie Fine, we have been retained to assist her in speaking out against the false accusations and scandalous lies spread by Bobby Davis and others. In this regard, Mrs. Fine will personally issue a major announcement on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Belhurst Castle in Geneva, New York. Another email, along with a relevant attachment will immediately precede this announcement.
