Mattydale (WSYR-TV) -- A young boy from Mattydale is the center of a heartwarming video on YouTube that’s been getting a lot of attention this week.

Four-year-old Shane Oliver is a big SU basketball fan, but when his mom told him his favorite player was graduating after this season, Shane didn’t take it too well. Shane’s mom captured the moment on camera and shared the video online.

See Shane’s reaction here.

Shane’s mom Aubrey says Scoop’s right up there with Spiderman.

And the video, posted just four days ago, already has more than 18,500 views.

Shane often tells his mom he plans to play basketball in college too. While Shane’s dream of assisting Scoop, or playing some zone defense with him likely won’t happen, Shane will get the next best thing. After being made aware of the video, Scoop emailed the family so they could meet after the season and maybe even play some one-on-one.

Shane’s new favorite will be Dion Waiters -- His dad’s favorite player.
