ATLANTA -- Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim is a finalist for the 2012 Naismith Coach of the Year award. The Atlanta Tipoff Club released the list of four finalists, which includes Kentucky's John Calipari, Frank Haith of Missouri, and Kansas' Bill Self. Boeheim won the award in 2010.

This season, Boeheim has guided the Orange to a school-record 32 wins and the BIG EAST regular-season championship. Syracuse won its first 20 games of the season for its best start in program history. SU won 17 regular-season BIG EAST games, setting a conference record.

The finalists were determined by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s National Voting Academy, comprised of leading basketball journalists, coaches and administrators from around the country.

Boeheim and the Orange faces Kansas State in the third round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 17 at 12:15 p.m.
