Rochester area student to play hoops for SU next year
Rochester, N.Y.(13WHAM) - A local Section V high school basketball star says he's heading to Syracuse.
Bishop Kearney's Chinonso Obokoh has made his verbal commitment to Syracuse University.
Obokoh moved to Rochester from his native Nigeria in 2010 and has become one of the most highly recruited high school players in the country.
He made his visit to Syracuse this past weekend and told coach Jim Boeheim he wanted to play for the Orange.
He will officially sign at S.U. in November.
