Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse University men’s basketball team will look to improve on its undefeated season tonight when it hosts Long Beach State at the Carrier Dome.

The Orange, ranked No. 4 in both major polls, enters the game at 6-0 on the season after defeating Eastern Michigan 84-48 on Monday.

The 49ers are 3-4 on the season.

James Southerland leads the Orange in scoring with 16.7 points per game. His season average was helped by a 35-point effort against Arkansas in which he tied an SU record from beyond the arc, hitting nine three-pointers.

Senior guard Brandon Triche is averaging 15 points per game, while Michael Carter-Williams has been named to the Naismith Award Watch List and is leading all NCAA Division I players in assist average with 9.5 per game.

James Ennis leads the 49ers with 16.4 points per game.

Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and carried locally on the radio on TK99.
