ABC has ordered a pilot for a reimagining of Beauty and the Beast.
The one-hour drama is set in a mythical, dangerous world where a beautiful and tough princess discovers an unlikely connection with a mysterious beast. Jonathan E. Steinberg will write and executive-produce the series alongside Gary Fleder and Mary Beth Basile.
