Watertown (WWTI) -- A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Friday as two separate storms travel toward the eastern seaboard.

Forecasters are predicting up to a foot of snow is possible on Friday. The good news is, this will be a fairly fast moving snow event and is not expected to linger over the North Country for a very long period of time.

Expect Northeast winds to be gusty as well, creating hazardous traveling conditions during your Friday commute. The National Weather Service says we can expect 2-4 inches of snow overnight tonight followed by 5-9 inches of snow during the day on Friday.

The weekend outlook is for Mostly Sunny skies on Saturday with highs near 20 and a few more clouds rolling in on Sunday with highs near 30.
