Cape Vincent prison counselor accused of sexual contact with inmate

A female counselor at Cape Vincent Correctional Facility is accused of having sexual contact with an inmate over a period of several months.

Michelle K. Finley, 44, 402 James Street, Clayton, is charged with criminal sex act, sexual abuse and official misconduct.

State Police investigators say that Finley had sexual contact with an inmate over an approximate four-month period. She is a civilian counselor at the facility.

The New York Corrections Inspector General's Office was also involved in the investigation.
Finley was processed at the Alexandria Bay State Police station and issued an appearance ticket for Cape Vincent Town Court.
