Clayton man tries to outrun police, crashes his car on a dead end street

Clayton (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- A Clayton man who tried to outrun police and ended up crashing on a dead end street is facing charges.

Twenty four year old Steel Angus is alleged to have fled police as they tried to pull over his vehicle on Rt. 37 in the Town of Pamelia early Thursday morning. The pursuit ended on Clover St. in the City of Watertown, when Angus crashed his vehicle into a concrete barricade. Angus then allegedly attempted to flee the scene, but was apprehended.

He is charged with third degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer. A blood sample was taken from him at Samaritan Medical Center to determine is BAC and further charges could be pending. A Copenhagen woman who was in the vehicle with him suffered minor injuries.
