(WSYR-TV) -- New York State has $12-billion in unclaimed funds and State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli wants to know if that money belongs to you.

Several events have been planned to help you find out. The closest one to us is at the New York State Fair. From August 23 through September 3, representatives will be at the Fairgrounds to help you find out if you’re owned any money.

There is no fee to re-claim funds. For more information, CLICK HERE.

New Yorkers may also check for unclaimed funds at www.osc.state.ny.us or by calling: 1-800-221-9311.
