Fatal Snowmobile accident in West Turin

West Turin (WTNY) -- A Central New York man was killed following a snowmobile accident over the weekend in Lewis County.

The Sheriff's Department says it happened on the Old Rail Road Bed Trail in the Town of West Turin Saturday afternoon. The victim, 35 year old Ryan Baye of Constantia, was operating on the trail when he turned his skis sharply to the left for an unknown reason.

Baye was standing up at the time and he struck the handlebars with his chest area and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
