Gouverneur-- Early Sunday morning St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of an assault in progress at a residence on the Johnstown Rd. in the Town of Gouverneur.
Police say 21 year old Nico Devito, Sterling St. Gouverneur, "unlawfully" entered a residence where his ex-girlfriend was with several of her friends. While inside the residence, Devito got into an altercation with two men. One of the men suffered an orbital fracture.
Devito left the residence and was located by Sheriff's Deputies a short time later. Devito was charged with 1st degree Burglary, 2nd and 3rd degree Assault and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing.
Devito was arraigned in Fowler Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
Orders of protection were issued to the victims in the incident.
