Lewis County man has been arrested for rape after forcibly having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old female.
State Police in Lowville have arrested Brian S. Burgy, 49, of 7176 Brewery Road in the Town of New Bremen, for rape 1st degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
It is alleged that Mr. Burgy forcibly had sexual intercourse with the young female on January 30, 2010. The incident is alleged to have happened at his former residence at 7367 Outer Dayan Street in Lowville.
Mr. Burgy has been arraigned before Town of Lowville Justice John YOungs and remanded to the Lewis County Jail. He is being held on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond.
