A CD release party will be held over the weekend for local band Oceans Below.
The soft rock band will release their first ever album “Give Them Something New” on Saturday, June 9th at the Watertown Golf Club, located at 1 Thompson Park, from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Oceans Below will be selling their debut album for only $10 and will provide free appetizers and entertainment at the CD release party.
The Watertown band is comprised of Joseph Foy, Stephen Dettmer, Shannon Elliot, and Sarah Sharlow, who joins the band when available.
Oceans Below band members say that playing for them is not just about the money. The group has been friends for many years and says that performing for them is about seeing the enjoyment on the faces of their fans and doing something that they are passionate about.
Foy told MyABC50.com that he hopes the community will come out and support their new CD and walk away with an appreciation for their original style of music.
Oceans Below can also be seen playing at the Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce's Farmers Market each Wednesday, located on Washington Street in Downtown Watertown.
