A memorial fund has been established to benefit the family of fallen Cape Vincent firefighter/EMT Mark D. Davis.
Davis was killed in the line of duty Friday night when a patient opened fire with a rifle at a Cape Vincent apartment.
Cape Vincent Volunteer Fire Department Chief Joseph Gould announced the creation of the memorial fund Tuesday morning.
Contributions may be made by either mail or electronic transfer.

Calling hours for Mr. Davis will be at the United Methodist Church in Cape Vincent all of Friday afternoon and evening.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Thousand Islands High School followed by a procession through the village.
Officials say they expect as many as 2,000 fire and emergency services personnel from across teh country to join in the procession.
