Finding ways to fund a higher education can be frustrating at times. But Northern Federal Credit Union wants to make that process easier for area youth.
The credit union is now accepting applications for their scholarship program. The deadline to submit applications is January 20th.
Northern Federal Credit Union is offering local high-school seniors a chance to win one of five $2,000 scholarships to be used for their higher education.
The scholarship is offered as part of the Credit Union Association of New York’s statewide credit union scholarship program.
To be eligible students must complete the following:
- Must be high-school seniors and members of Northern FCU
- Must be attending a two-or four-year accredited educational institutions for the first time in the fall of 2012.
Students/applicants will be competing against other credit union members from across the state.
Applicants will be judged based upon their academic achievements, extracurricular and community activities and the quality of written essays.
Scholarship applications are available in area schools’ guidance offices, online at www.northernfcu.com and at all six Northern FCU branches.
