Watertown— This Sunday at 11:00 a.m., the Zoo at Thompson Park will be celebrating the one-year birthday for their youngest Otter Molly.

Zookeepers will be providing Molly with a special cake to eat and decorating her exhibit. They will also have delicious donuts and hot beverages available in the Discovery Center for everyone else to enjoy.

At the end of March, Molly will be leaving the New York State Zoo and relocating to her new home at the Akron Zoo in Akron, Ohio. There she will be a part of a brand new exhibit, the Mike & Mary Stark Grizzly Ridge which will include grizzly bears, red wolves, coyotes, river otters, black bears and eagles.

This fun day at the Zoo is open to those that want to stop by and wish Molly a happy birthday or see her before she will leave. The event is free for members; regular admission prices apply for non-members.
