Harrisville -- State Police and area rescue crews responded to a report of a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred Sunday night just before 9:00, on South Creek Road in the Town of Diana. Police say the vehicle was being driven by Tyler Lyndaker when it went off the road and struck a tree. Lyndaker was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, Jacob Campeau was flown to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
State Police were assisted at the scene by Lewis County Sheriff Department, Lewis County D.A., Harrisville Fire Department, Harrisville Ambulance, Natural Bridge Fire Department, and Natural Bridge Ambulance.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
