Several charges for Nicholville man after car chase in the Town of Brasher

Brasher -- St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 32 year old Kenneth Snyder, Water St., Nicholville, on several charges after an incident that took place late last week.

Police say they initially observed Snyder driving 64 mph in a 40 mph zone on County Route 55 in the Town of Brasher. When Police attempted to pull over Snyder for speeding he continued on for several miles before stopping.

Further investigation revealed that Snyder had his infant daughter in the vehicle with him during the incident. There was also a stay away order of protection in effect that states that Snyder is not to have any contact with his daughter.

Snyder was charged with, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Contempt 2nd degree, Failure to Comply and Speeding.

He was arraigned in Brasher Town Court and is scheduled to answer to the charges at a later date.
