Oswegatchie -- Sheriff's Deputies in St. Lawrence County arrested an Ogdensburg man Thursday night after receiving a call of an ATV accident on the Taylor Rd in the Town of Oswegatchie.
Police say 48 year old Edward Besio, 94 River lane, Ogdensburg was driving his ATV when it exited the right side of the road an struck a NY Telephone box and was ejected from the four wheeler.
Besio was transported to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center where he was treated and police determined that he was operating the ATV while intoxicated. While being treated at the Hospital besio fled on foot from the healthcare facility and was later taken into custody and charged with DWI, Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree he was also ticketed for Failure to Reduce Speed, Operating an ATV on a Public Highway and Operating an ATV Without a Helmet.
