Watertown (WTNY) -- Jefferson County Sheriff John Burns has concluded his investigation into an incident last month involving a member of his department.
Deputy Sheriff Adam Hallett was under investigation for an incident that occurred December 1st on County Route 72 in the Town of Henderson where he was found inside his patrol vehicle parked along the side of the road.
On Wednesday Sheriff Burns said he has issued a traffic ticket for Hallett for one count of having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He will be answering the charge in Town of Henderson Court later this month.
The deputy is also facing internal disciplinary charges and will face internal punishment as well. A deputy who initially responded to the scene, Mathew Vaughn, will also face disciplinary action.
