Fine -- A day after declaring a State of Emergency for residents of the Star lake Water District, officials have now issued a boil water order effective until further notice. More information on the boil water order can be found here

In a press release, Town Supervisor Mark Hall said "We are troubleshooting the distribution system and searching for leaks. Please let us know if you notice any suspicious water on the ground or possible sinkholes that may have recently appeared. We anticipate and greatly appreciate each customers cooperation with our efforts. We will lift the water use restrictions as soon as it is safe to do so."

Officials say that as a result of the dry weather, they are also restricting any open burning such as campfires.
