Scattered rain will be with us through the early part of the day before stronger storms are forecast to move in. In terms of timing, the greatest threat for severe weather is from the early afternoon through the evening before all activity pushes out. We can expect storms to last through the first part of the night.

The biggest concerns today are for gusty winds that could potentially knock down tree limbs and cause scattered power outages. Heavy downpours could cause localized flooding in poor drainage areas. When it’s not raining today, expect cloudy skies and warmth in the mid to high 80s with oppressive feeling humidity.

Once the rain passes tonight, cooler and much drier feeling air moves in to start the work week. Monday will be mainly dry with highs in the low 80s.
