Three St. Lawrence County women arrested on Felony Prison Contraband and drug charges

Three women from St. Lawrence County have been arrested on felony prison contraband and drug charges.

Monday afternoon at approximately 12 p.m. narcotics were brought to the St. Lawrence County Correctional facility during a visitation with an inmate.

Deputies allege that Bridget L. Prashaw-Silva, 27, of Gouverneur, brought narcotics into the facility during her visit with inmate Matisha L. Wineglass, 31. Wineglass then took the narcotics to another inmate, Jessica L. Prashaw, 30.

The transaction of drugs was observed by correctional facility officers and deputies were immediately alerted.

Prashaw-Silva is charged with Felony Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd, Felony Introducing Dangerous Contraband into a Prison in the 1st, and Felony Conspiracy in the 4th.

Inmate Wineglass is charged with Felony Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd, Felony Possession of Dangerous Contraband in a Prison in the 1st, and Felony Conspiracy in the 4th.

Inmate Prashaw is charged with Felony Possession of Contraband in a Prison in the 1st, Felony Conspiracy in the 4th, and Misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th.

Prashaw and Wineglass are currently held on other charges, and will be processed at Canton Village Court at a later date.

Prashaw-Silva was arraigned at the Canton Village Court and is being held on $1,500 cash bail pending further court action.
