Rochester (WHAM) - The mother charged in the deaths of her four children in February told investigators she was burning photographs of her boyfriend, the morning the fire broke out.
In a criminal complaint, Bobbie Kugler told investigators that the fire spread to other materials on a dresser, spreading the flames.
Kugler escaped the February 18 fire with her 2-year-old son.
Her four children, Gage Reavy, Gregory Kugler, Kandee Kugler, and Kaiden Kugler died upstairs.
Last Friday Rochester Police charged Kugler with four counts of manslaughter and one count of arson.
Two other boys visiting the home were able to escape.

Rochester (WSYR-TV) – Rochester Police have charged a mother with manslaughter and arson in connection with a fire that killed four of her children.
13WHAM reports police have Bobbie Kugler in custody after arresting her in the in Poughkeepsie area.
The victims of the fire that ripped through the home on Grape Street in February were Gage Reavey, 14; Gregory Kugler, 13; Kandee Kugler, 12; and Kaiden Kugler, 6.
The fire chief said it appeared the fire started in a front bedroom but would not give further details on how the fire was set.
Kugler is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow.
Firefighters rescued several others from the home, including Kugler and her 2-year-old son Tyron Jackson.
Three others escaped the blaze: Waltquaries Evans, 15; Giovanni Delorm, 13; and James Austin, 25.
It was the first deadly fire in Rochester in more than two years.
