The 10th Mountain Division Soldier that lost his life in a military vehicle accident has been identified.
Private Michael S. Keopfle, 35, of San Bernardio, California, was killed on Sunday, October 23rd, in an accident that occurred on Fort Drum. Two other soldiers were also injured in the accident.
All three men were training as members of the 543rd Quartermaster Company, 548th Combat Service Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division.
Private Keopfle was a supply clerk and joined the Army in October 2010. After he completed his training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Fort Lee, Virginia, he arrived at Fort Drum in October of 2011.

Ft. Drum officials have released more information regarding that training accident that occurred on post Sunday. A Humvee rolled over Sunday morning on post, killing one soldier and injuring two others. The fatality in the crash has been identified as 35 year old Private Michael Koepfle of San Bernardino, CA. He was a supply clerk who joined the military in October 2010 and arrived to Ft. Drum this month.
