Two corrections officers and one sergeant were injured by an inmate a Bare Hill Correctional Facility in Malone.

Tuesday, Inmate Stephon Rucker attacked the officers and sergeant while being frisked. Rucker struck the sergeant in the mouth and then hit the other two officers, one in the face and one in the chest.

Rucker has been charged with assaulting corrections officers three times in the last four years. New charges are expected to be filed against him for this most recent incident.

At this time Rucker is in jail for burglary in the 1st and robbery in the 2nd, with a maximum sentence of eight years.

Last month, in a separate incident another Bare Hill corrections officer was hospitalized after suffering a broken jaw and eye socket. That incident followed an earlier inmate on inmate assault that left one inmate in intensive care.
