Update: State Police have made a third arrest, 19 year old Demetri Sakaris of Candiac, Quebec, also a hockey player at Clarkson. All three are charged with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child. Investigators say they engaged in sexual activity with a 16 year old girl who was attending a summer hockey camp at Clarkson. All three are free without bail pending further court appearances. Two Clarkson University hockey recruits are accused of sexual conduct with a child under 17, according to State Police.
Jordan Ciccarello and Patrick McEachen, both 18, are charged with sexual misconduct and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
Ciccarello is from New Hartford, Connecticut and McEachen is from Stouffville, Ontario. Both men were touted on
Clarkson's website in June as promising prospects for the Clarkson hockey team.
The State Police report listed two sexual acts the two are accused of committing with the child.
A State Police investigator declined further comment, saying that "additional things are pending," and that a press release would be issued later.
Ciccarello and McEachen are not currently in custody, he said.
The incident was reported to police on September 1st, according to the police report. The arrest was made on September 5th.
