3 people in Black River robbed at gunpoint

Black River -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is investigating a reported strong armed robbery that occurred Friday night in the Village of Black River.

Police say it happened at around 8 pm in the parking lot of the village municipal building. The investigation so far has identified three victims who were held at gun point outside their vehicle with personal property taken. Shell casings located at the scene indicate that a gun was fired, however there were no reported injuries and no weapon was located.

A red vehicle was last seen leaving the parking lot. If anyone has any information regarding the suspects or was a witness to the robbery, they are asked to call the Sheriff's office at 788-1441.
