Five people were arrested for selling alcohol to an underage State Police operative during an enforcement detail in northern Jefferson County Friday evening.
Ten establishments were checked. Five allegedly sold alcohol to the underage operative while the other five didn't.
Charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage:
- Ann Albro, 24, at the Sung Harbor Bar and Restaurant, Cape Vincent
- Maryellen Glass, 42, at the Cape Dairy, Cape Vincent
- Janet Carroll, 52, at Aubrey's Grocery
- Courtney Carter, 19, at The Victorian, Clayton
- Melinda Rossi, 29 at P.J.'s River Rat Restaurant in Alexandria Bay
State Police also charged 24 year old Joy Owens of Alexandria Bay with unlawfully dealing with a child; and 20 year old Brandon Howie of Chippewa Bay with unlawful possession of alcohol.
Ms. Owens was seen giving Mr. Howie a 12-pack of beer after leaving the T.I. bait store in Alexandria Bay and they then left in separate vehicles, police said.
