Fort Drum— The Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) is holding their quarterly career fair at The Commons next Thursday, February 7th.

“We conduct quarterly career fairs as part of our services to military service members and their families and also veterans who are making career decisions”, said Transitional Service Manager for ACAP, Lorrie Guler. She went on to explain that the career fair is a culmination of counseling and seminars for service members transitioning from the military into the civilian sector.

The ACAP career fair has evolved over time. Participation has grown for the upcoming February 7th career fair with 93 agencies, organizations, and employers registered. Out of the 93 agencies participating, half are employers representing local, national and international opportunities for employment.

The target audience for the career fair is not only for service members looking to transition out of the military. From active duty members who have not made the decision to leave the military or those who have made a decision- the career fair is meant to be guide towards a career path. The career fair is also for local family members of active duty military and retired service members.

For those that do not live on post, a photo I.D. is all you need to show the guard at the gate in order to have access to the installation. For those unfamiliar with Fort Drum, the guard at the gate should be able to provide directions to the event location.
