An Adams resident was involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident in the Town of Vienna Tuesday.
The accident occurred on State Route 13 in the Town of Vienna when 71-year-old Theresa J. Frye, of Blossvale, was driving her 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser westbound on Mill Pond Way.
When she attempted to turn southbound on to State Route 13 she did not see a 2002 Mack flatbed truck which was heading northbound at the same time. Frye pulled in front of the truck and sustaining injuries. Frye succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The truck was operated by Raymond W. Fitzgerald, 52, of 12931 Bishop Street in Adams. Fitzgerald was not injured during the accident.
The investigation is continuing, though State Police do not anticipate that any criminal action will be taken against Mr. Fitzgerald.
