Administrator Charles Conole resigns at EJ Noble Hospital
Gouveneur (WTNY) -- The head of the beleaguered E.J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur has resigned. According to the "Watertown Daily Times", the hospital board Monday night accepted the resignation of Administrator Charles Conole.
Conole had been with the hospital for over 20 years. The resignation comes following a fall that saw the facility essentially closed down by the state for about a month due to deficiencies within the hospital's lab. The lab has since reopened with the supervision of Samaritan Medical Center following an agreement made between the two entities.
Conole's last official day on the job is not known.
