Samaritan Medical Center’s Air Medical Service officially started today, allowing for residents in need of emergency medical treatment in Syracuse a faster travel time.
The new air medical service, which will be operating locally as LifeNet of New York, will begin services today, Friday, June 1st.
Headquartered at the Watertown International airport, the new air medical service will ensure faster emergency services to residents in need.
Denise K. Young, executive director for the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization was quoted in the Watertown Daily Times as saying,“We’re thrilled to have this back. It’s what we really need for this area.”
