Army reviews the way PTSD and other behavioral-health issues are diagnosed
The U.S. Army is going to take another look at the way post-traumatic stress disorder and other behavioral-health issues are diagnosed in soldiers being considered for medical separations. The review has been ordered by Watertown native and Army Secretary John McHugh who wants another look at all PTSD diagnoses made at every Army medical facility dating back to October 2001. A statement issued by the Army says problems with the diagnostic program will be identified and fixed.
