An investigation into an assault led to a drug arrest late Monday at a Watertown hotel.
According to the Watertown Daily Times, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies went to the Ramada Inn to investigate a possible assault on a woman. Upon entering they found three packages of cocaine, one of which was open, as diazepam, pentazocine hydrochloride, and naloxone hydrochloride pills, as well as over-the-counter drugs, a set of scales, and an unidentified yellow liquid in a spoon.
Arrested were 36-year-old Bridget A. Finley of Coffeen Street and 36-year-old Brian K. Denehy of Route 3 in Sackets Harbor. Both were sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with bail set at $25,000 on charges of 2nd degree Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, and 3rd, 5th, and 7th degree counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The man who rented the room on January 24th was not present at the time of the arrests and is being sought, according to deputies.
Finley is a convicted felon, according to archive records. She was sentenced to 5 years probation in 2003 on a guilty plea to theft of State Department of Health funds through a childcare business she ran.
