Assembly KO's mixed martial arts in New York State

Assembly Democrats have delivered a knockout blow to a bill that would legalize mixed martial arts in New York State. The Democratic majority in the Assembly has decided not to advance a bill that would allow for UFC and other MMA events to be held in the Empire State. The move comes after the state Senate has passed measures legalizing the sport in New York three times with bipartisan support, including last month.
