Assistant DA charged with DWI, Police say BAC 4 times the legal limit

Watertown (WTNY) -- A prosecutor with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office is facing DWI and other charges following a traffic stop lTuesday night.

Police say he had a Blood Alcohol Content that was four times the legal limit. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department arrested 37 year old Aaron Carr of Watertown, after stopping his vehicle on Coffeen St. last night just before 8:30 after receiving a complaint of a reckless driver.

Carr allegedly had a BAC of .32%. The legal limit in the state is .08%. Carr was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and refusal to take a breath test.

He was released to a third party and will appear in City Court on March 26.
