Burrville -- Now that the fall chill is upon us, sipping on warm Apple Cider cannot be any more tempting.

The Burrville Cider Mill has been in business since 1996, and as a historic building the mill is one of the oldest buildings in Jefferson County. It was once a saw mill and previously known as Burrs Mill owned by Captain Burr.

The mill is a family friendly place, one where customers drive from long distances just to buy cider. These loyal customers take well to the Steiner’s family-friendly and hospitable attitude. It is no wonder this small business in this economy is doing so well. Greg and Cindy Steiner not only have their children working at the mill, but their grandchildren enjoy helping out as well.

In October there will be a book-signing event at the mill, along with new products such as gluten free desserts made locally and new Amish made baskets. Interested customers can also watch how cider is made, as cider pressing is open to the public.
