(WTNY) -- Congressman Bill Owens is not a fan of the decision by the Postal Service to cut back on Saturday delivery.
In a statement Wednesday, Owens called the decision "outrageous" and urged the USPS to take aggressive action to raise revenue. He says the decision unfairly burdens rural areas with service cuts. Owens went on to fault leadership within the organization in failing to grow and seek out new opportunities to raise revenue.
The service announced yesterday plans to cut Saturday deliveries beginning this August.
