The plan's in place for an April 15th Tax Day Protest in Canton.
The demonstration will be held at the corner of Park and Main Streets from 11-2, said Nancy Foster who is among the organizers.
"We're going to be standing there with our 'Stop the Spending and Borrowing Madness' signs," Foster said. "If people are so inclined, we would love to have them join us."
An estimated 300 communities are holding the Tea Party protests, modeled after the 1773 Boston Tea Party that helped spark the American Revolution.
Foster, the Republican Chairwoman of the Louisville Republican Committee, said she wants everyone to remember that the event is non-partisan.
"You know both parties contributed to the mess that we're in and they certainly aren't partial when it comes to taxing us to pay down the debt," she said.
Foster said those who are only able to participated during the lunch hour are welcome and that she hopes motorists who agree with her positions will honk as they drive by.
