A Sandy Creek man fled from a traffic stop and led authorities on a lengthy chase in southern Jefferson County, according to sheriff's deputies.
Deputies say they tried to pull over 37 year old Daniel Letiecq on Route 81 for a traffic infraction shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday.
After Letiecq refused to stop, the chase continued over multiple roads in the town of Ellisburg before he was finally stopped on State Route 3.
Letiecq is charged with unlawful fleeing, speeding and stop sign violations, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of stolen property and aggravated unlicensed operation of an unregistered, uninsured, uninspected motor vehicle.
He was arraigned in Henderson court and remanded to Jefferson County jail with bail seat at $1,000.
