Carthage Ice Cream Shop burglarized; two teens arrested

Carthage (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- Two teens are facing charges in connection to a burglary that occurred in the Carthage area during the overnight Monday.

The two are alleged to have broken into J&B Ice Cream on State Rt. 26, vandalizing the store, and stealing money from the cash register and other items. Some of the stolen items were recovered in the press box at the Carthage High School football field on Tuesday. Charged with third degree burglary are 16 year old Nicholas Bozzi of Ft. Drum and an unidentified 14 year old male. Bozzi was arraigned and ordered held in the Jefferson County Jail on $10,000 bail.

The 14 year old will be turned over to family court.
