Cash and other items stolen during Red & Black football game
Watertown (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- City Police are investigating several thefts that led to the early end to the Watertown Red and Black football game over the weekend.
During the first half of Saturday night's game against Albany at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds, the visiting team's locker room was entered and numerous items taken, including cash and cell phones. The thefts were discovered during half time and police were called. As a result, both teams decided to discontinue the game.
Police are continuing their investigation.
