Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Castorland man yesterday for allegedly stalking a woman he had been ordered to stay away from.
Deputies arrested 48-year-old Royal D. Nuffer of 3rd Road in the Town of Croghan on charges of 1st degree Criminal Contempt and 4th degree Stalking. They allege Nuffer violated an order of protection from Lewis County Family Court by stalking his victim from May 28th to the present.
Nuffer was arraigned in Town of New Bremen Court and sent to Lewis County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
